Bar Hopping @ Eugene
Rapunzel had intended to have Eugene take her to a bar the night before, but they’d been all wrapped (‘like a burrito,’ Eugene liked to say) up and cozy and she was too warm and happy to think about adventure in that moment.
Now, however, she was ready. Bars were where normal people went to have fun. Interesting things happened at bars. She wanted to experience a bar other than the Ugly Duckling. She thought she might even dress as a commoner and hope that she could blend in.
She found Eugene in the study, working on some paper work as part of his prince training. ”Eugene!” she said excitedly, bouncing up to him. ”Let’s hop on some bars! That’s the expression, right? Let’s go hop! What do I wear? What do I bring?”——————-
-dear god, she was a savior! a sexy sweet little savior. bar hopping was way better than paperwork. he’d take her up on that offer ANYDAY. he wasted no time shoving his papers aside and stood up with a grin.-
it’s called “bar hopping”, beautiful but that’s when you go from bar to bar, drinking at them all. let’s just stick to one pub for the first time, okay? and you can wear anything really….but the comfy purple dress might be the best bet though. dressing like a princess will only get you a ton of attention and you want to see the under belly of the pub right? …..the oh-so-classy lifeforms that hang out in there?
-this should make for an interesting night. he’d tried to talk her into going to the snuggily duckling with him but she specifically wanted a pub where they didn’t know anyone. he was planning on teaching her darts, giving her beer to sample and maybe they’d even get to see a bar fight or something (preferably one that he wasn’t involved in).-
She hugged him happily and they both changed into ‘commoner’ clothes. She had on a dark plain purple dress and a brown leather corset, and she put a kerchief on like she’d seen women in town wearing. She was pretty sure no matter where they want, Eugene would be recognized, and probably her by association, but she could at least try. Plus, wearing different clothes was fun.
She met Eugene by the front entryway. ”I’m so excited!” she said, hooking arms with him. ”How do I look? Do I look normal? Normal but not too boring?”
-he chuckled and nodded as they made their way out of the castle- you look beautiful like always. and i guess you look normal…you always look normal to me. well, except when you are painting with your toes or something. but you are definitely not boring. you look hot. -he grinned, leaning to the side to kiss the top of her head- you sure you’re ready for this, babe? remember the first time you walked into the snuggily duckling? this won’t be quite like that. i’m not taking you to a dive with lizards boiling in a pot but there could be crude guys or loose drunk girls. sometimes there are bar fights over dumb things….drunk people are pretty unpredictable. don’t worry though. if anything it’ll be interesting. we’re going to the pub where the bimbettes work. at least we’ll know 3 people there and they’ll keep the drinks coming for us.
“I’m definitely ready for this!” She said, skipping a little. ”I’m ready for everything! I’ve been ready my whole life! Now I actually get to do things and go places and it’s AWESOME.” She grinned, spinning once and skipping ahead. She was walking the streets of the city like a normal girl with a handsome date, and they were going to have fun with drunk people!
“I like unpredictable things,” she said, avoiding a puddle. ”I like everything. You, most of all.” They got to the entrance to the bar and she took his hand, beaming up at him.
